Today’s word of the day is “Leaves.”
Fall
While the best thing about fall in my opinion is without a doubt the change of temperature, the colors are a close second. The area where I grew up has an incredible landscape, especially in the fall. The leaves have such beautiful and vibrant colors.
I missed the colors this year (much to my disappointment), but I have some pretty awesome photos from last year that I took at the local state park.
Leaves of Change
Just like the changing of the leaves, this time of year has always brought so much change to my life and the lives of those around me. Sometimes that change is good. Sometimes it feels like the worst thing ever. Each one has made me who I am, and I am grateful for those changes.
There has been a lot of change in my life recently, which is probably why I’m so stuck on it lately.
My Life Changes
- I left my home / family / friends / town / job / DOG (sorry, puppy – we’re working on that)
- Moved to a new town
- Started a new job
- Got married
- Changed my name
- Left my job for one that fits me so much better
- Family changes
- So. Much. More.
That’s so much change all at once, and it doesn’t even cover everything. More changes are still on our horizon.
I’m excited, though. I’m excited for my future, and I’m excited for all the journeys ahead for my new little family (husband, me, dog, and chinchilla).
